Diana joined the Taylor lab in July of 2000. For a year and a half, Diana worked closely with Jamie Platt, trying to understand the population genetics of Aspergillus fumigatus, including potential elucidation of cryptic species and recombination in asexual lineages.
In December of 2001, Diana graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in MCB (Molecular and Cell Biology) and Social Welfare.
